Maybe one of the most interesting black paint cameras Leica ever made: Leica IIIF Black Paint made for the Swedish Army. Ok it is not a Leica M what everybody currently want but personally I think it is way more interesting for collectors as a Leica M3 for example. In total Leica made 100 of these cameras with special black painted 50mm f3.5 Elmar lens for the Swedish Army. All of these cameras were made in a batch with numbers from 822901 - 823000. Normal IIIF cameras were made in chrome and no other black painted lenses were made in screw mount. These cameras were made in 1956. The cameras are also known as Kaltefest cameras or in English they were winterised to enable them to function in arctic conditions. The camera and lens are in 100% original, never restored condition. Very nice patina. It comes with a matching Leica 50mm f3.5 Elmar lens from the correct batch. As you see also the tube of the lens is in black paint finish. In my opinion the black paint IIIF is not only a high collectible item but also a very interesting military Leica camera.
