In like new condition Leica 50mm f1.4 Summilux-M LHSA lens in silver finish in box. This is the same kind of lens which is part of the big Leica MP3 set and here also comes the interesting part about this specific lens. This lens WAS probably part of a Leica MP3 set. The lenses which were sold separately were sold in a larger box and came with red presentation box. This one not. But here it comes. The box shows the lens production code 11628 which is the correct code. However on the label with the serial number the production code shown is 11626. The 11626 production code is from the Leica 16-18-21mm Tri-Elmar lens. Under the label another sticker is visible but that one shows code 10319. This code again is from the Leica MP3 set. So this is what probably happened. Someone split the full set and sent the lens back to Leica. Leica put it in a new box and put new labels with numbers on it but did use the wrong codes..... The set now comes with:
- Box with correct black sticker and label with incorrect production code and correct serial number and sticker with Leica MP3 code and correct serial number under it
- Test certificate with incorrect production code and correct serial number and sticker with Leica MP3 code and correct serial number under it
- Warranty card with incorrect production code and correct serial number and sticker with Leica MP3 code and correct serial number under it
- Japanese warranty card with correct production code and correct serial number
Lens is in like new condition. Lens elements are clean. No haze, fog, scratches or cleaning marks. No problems at all. Complete with box, papers, pouch, lens caps and lens hood with cap.
